GC 2024: We will meet very soon!

Some days left to start warming the car!

Life and decisions seem easy, but storms are coming + the warm weather we have now. So far we have ice all over. Little bit / maybe too warm for POL and LTU, but they are NOT out just yet!

If you have suitable ice in your area, make your Icereport!

Ice reports are coming in, but we all know that ice conditions are good in many places today! Good ice, 20+ cm and much more as we are traveling further north, we have had good sailing during the weekend in many places!

Difficult, one could say an interesting weather forecast with temperature getting colder during the weekend and possible rain and snowfall and the forecast is changing all the time.
So spend your time at work and with family and news will come when it comes!

I have (DN class has) so many good friends and sailors giving me good reports and we all want a good week of sailing! Big thanks out to all of you guy!

Good ice conditions are in LAT and EST which are on the snow/rain line with forecasts and SWE is looking very good, but is only as plan C or D.

Think ice and less snow !

50. GC/EC & JWCJEC: 2 weeks to go

50. GC/EC & JWCJEC: 2 weeks to go

Dear Fellow Icesailors,
The Event Entry’s first deadline is over and numbers are quite nice!
Very happy with the outcome, 150 DN was our aim, sad that Optimist is low but what can we do, we are still waiting and hoping for more to come.
Let’s hope for good ice and weather favoring our big event! Good sailing until that time and way into springtime.
As backups to the designated site please make your local icereport by the 29th of January.
The report should contain the ice area size, quality, thickness, parking- and launching options, and possible accommodation for 150+ beds.
We accept the reports via our“Icereport” facebook group (facebook.com/groups/2271702236175685)… it’s open information for all to see or if you would like to do it privately please do it via email to board@idniyra.eu
Have fun ice sailing!
Don’t forget to bring your trophies!

Season 2023/24

Season 2023/24

Dear Fellow Iceboaters,
The season is just about to start and hopefully it will be one to remember! Big event and celebration of the 50th Worlds and Eoropeans is about to start, starting in Lithuania.
Sad part is the situation in the world and we can only hope for a quick END!!! and turn for the better!
DN, Ice-Optimist and also Mono XV class sailors will get together for the season’s top event in the first week of February.
DN and DN-Juniors will sail on the same course and Opties next to us or maybe even do some SHOW race’s on the big course.

There are some ideas and thoughts that we are working on to get numbers higher for the worlds. NOR will be out by 1st of December. If you have any questions then contact the board and will try to help as much as we can.
