 As of today there are no good venues in the Gothenburg are, so we are looking at a few alternatives within a 150 km radius of Stockholm where the ice is thick and only a little or no snow. No decision later than Thursday January 16th, 20:00 (CET).

Polish DN Fleet CUP 2014

Hello Everyone!

This weekend (25-26.01) we’re going to race Polish DN Fleet Cup (this is not Polish Champs). Of course we invite every ice sailor but… we have poor ice condition, due to very late winter. The race will take place at the lake Ewingi, yet it’s not perfect due to its sailable area: http://www.bojery.pl/media/kunena/attachments/226/h0e918c2.jpg

As You can see the area is a “rectangle” 1.0 x 1.5 km. It will be a little crowdy. I think You should know it. Nevertheless you are all very welcome to join us on ice 🙂

Feedback on Lipno regattas on 4.-5.1.2014

Dear DN Sailors,

I am sorry that last weekend it did not worked for us, for all the sailors who arrived at Lipno.

As for organization I have received mostly positive feedback. I received also negative feedback. I feel that there might be lack of information causing part of the negative feedback. That is why I am sending this post on behalf of the Czech DN Fleet as last weekend Lipno regatta organizer. Thank you for all feedback. I realize that there always will be some negative feedback.

Negative feedback I received is in one sentence: “Czech guys as organizers were not ready to handle the regatta, gathered starting fee and than cancelled the race and took the money for nothing”. read more…

4.1.-5.1.2014 DN regattas at Lipno, Cerna v Posumavi, Czech DN Fleet

This weekend will be held DN regattas at Lipno at Cerna v Posumavi. Skipper meeting at Saturday 11:30, first start at 12:00. Saturday regatta is “Prvni led” (First Ice). Sunday regatta is “Pohar Machova jezera” (Machovo Lake Cup).

We expect good international attendance fro Austria, Netherland, Switzerland, Germany and for sure some more as Lipno has still good conditions if not best south from Baltic sea.

Launching area is camping Jestrabi I. Please follow instruction of camp owner for parking cars. Small fee of 70 Kc (2.6 €) in the camping per day. Buffet, toilets and shower with hot water available.

The organizing authority of the Regatta is the Latvian DN Icesailing Association in cooperation with JK ”AUDA” and IDNIYRA-Europe Society e.V. represented by the Junior Program Manager.
Partners: Council of Riga
The primary site is Lake Kisezers, Riga, Latvia. Various other sailing areas in Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania and Poland can be used to provide this regatta.

The championship regatta will be sailed under jurisdiction of International DN Ice Yacht Racing Association (IDNIYRA).
