Dear Fellow Icesailors,

 

Please be aware that the Insurance submission deadline (2025.01.15) and the Regular Entry Deadline (2025.01.18) for our annual regattas are fast approaching.
Insurance submitted by the end of the day tomorrow will be checked, and if eligible will be approved for Regular entry.

 

The Entries are coming in for both events. Please don’t leave your registration to the very last minute!

 

It has come to the attention of the Board that some sailors have experienced problems when trying to attempt to make their entry for the EC 2025. Most problems have been so-called User Errors, but some have also encountered technical problems.

Here is a guide on how to solve the most common problems.

 

Problem 1: TRYING TO MAKE THE ENTRY IN THE WRONG ORDER

 

The procedure is by design intended NOT to allow sailors to proceed with their EC entry unless:

a) IDNIYRA membership is ACTIVE first. In other words, has been paid

b) Your insurance certificate has been uploaded to the Web Portal

c) Your insurance certificate has been approved by the Insurance Manager

 

Solution:

Do NOT try to make your EC entry unless a, b, and c have been done first because you will get a “Page Not Found” or a “No Approved Insurance” prompt.

 

The right order is:

1. Upload your Insurance Certificate

2. Wait for it to be approved

3. Meanwhile you can pay your IDNIYRA Europe fee

4. Proceed to make the EC entry after your IDNIYRA membership is ACTIVE and the Insurance Certificate has been approved. 

 

Problem  2: HAVING PROBLEMS WITH YOUR PAYMENT? 

 

Solution:

1. Make sure your payment card is up to date on your IDNIYRA profile. If the date has expired, the payment will of course not be successful.

2. Make sure the card is up to date in your own computer, Mobile Phone, Google Pay, Apple Pay, or whatever payment method you are using.

3. See problem #1 and make sure you do things in the right order.

 

Please check with your Bank that the payment has actually been made. In case it doesn’t, the order will be displayed in your profile (under MEMBERSHIP » ACCOUNT » ORDERS… ) as “On Hold” or “Failed”.

(If you received an email confirmation in December about a successful membership fee payment, please check the date of the transaction, as it may be from last season.)

 

Problem 3: STILL HAVING PROBLEMS WITH YOUR PAYMENT? 

 

Some sailors report that they have had problems with the payment when attempting to make it on the computer or a tablet but have been successful when making the entry and the payments on their mobile phones, or the other way around.

 

Solution:

Try changing to an other device. Changing to a mobile phone seems to have solved the problem in many cases.

 

Problem 4: YOU CANNOT LOG IN. HAVE YOU LOST YOUR PASSWORD?  

 

Solution:

1. The password can be reset automatically by following the “Reset Password” procedures (please check your SPAM box for the email, because in some cases it ends up there)
