    Dear Organisers,

    thank you for publishing the NoR for the World & European Champs.

    I think that the point NR 5 where is written that the final site selection will be announced no later than Friday, 22. January 2016 – 12:00 and REGATTA CHECK-IN: Saturday 23. January 2016 from 08:00 to 16:00 should be modified and made more sailors friendly.

    For some of us might be difficult to get on time especially if you have to move the event to another countries. Even if we all get to the racing site early enough we would like go on ice and get ready for racing and don’t like to waste time for the registration.
    In my opinion Registration should be held on Saturday evening at least till 8 pm.

    Please review it and it would nice if you could come with an amendment # 1

    Point NR 7. INSURANCE CLAIMS:
    we all see that most of the prices suggested by the OA for a damaged equipment are way below their normal level.

    Hull 2.800,- € Mast 1.500,- € ???? Plank 500, ????- € Runner 450 ????,- € each Sail 750,- € Chock 100,- € ???? each Boom 150,- € ???

    All Championship participants have their own individual insurance which suppose to cover the damaged equipment. I don’t think that it is necessary and legal that the Organisers are making their own prices and pushing all sailors to accept them.

    I know that this is a case since many years but it is time that this point should be deleted. In USA we don’t have this kind of requirement from the OA.

    I agree to the suggestions of Karol P36.

    PLUS:

    It is not enough, if there is written:
    The insurance has to …. cover the liability of one participant to another with a minimum coverage of 500.000,00 Euro.

    The insureance should at least cover 5.000.000,00 Euro, as normal.

    My insurance is 6.000.000,00 which is normal as well.

    The today minimum coverage of 500.000,00 is a (very bad) joke, if you think of bodily injury, which is even more important.

    So either make the claims for material realistic or – better – forget them AND make the minimum coverage 5.000.000,00 EUR

    Dear friends,

    we have the very late date for the final site selection since 2007.
    This is important if weather- and/or iceconditions are not clear enough to make a decision.
    The commodore doesn’t have to make the decision that late, but he can – if necessary.
    It never happend in the last 10 years.

    Maybe you realized that this time we offer a regatta check-in on friday afternoon – if possible.

    If you don’t want to waiste time, come at 08:00 in the morning and be the first at check-in.
