DN Sweden is proudly hosting the 2020 edition of the Grand Masters Cup, the special event exclusively for DN sailors who have passed the honorable age of 60.
We are now only a week away and have started to publish status updates regarding the event location. We hope you are as excited as we are, Think Ice!
Update 1️⃣ | JAN 12th
Just over a week to go now and it’s time for the first status update!
We have received a couple of hopeful ice reports during the weekend. Most promising is lake Orsasjön in Orsa, a decent sized lake with an ice thickness of 10+ cm and a pristine surface. Notable runner-ups are lake Oresjön in Furudal as well as lake Storsjön in Östersund.
🌤 The weather forecast of the expected venue area is quite uncertain, we will have to wait and see (and hope for the best). We will make sure to continuously keep you updated as we progress towards the regatta.
Per usual, we are dependent on a steady stream of ice reports to make it all happen. Your ice scouting is greatly appreciated!
